Precise heat control – stainless and aluminium
TIG welding (GTAW, process 141 per ISO 4063) separates the heat source from the filler metal: the tungsten electrode holds a concentrated arc under argon shielding while the filler rod is fed by hand, precisely dosed. That gives full control over penetration, seam width and the heat-affected zone – which is why the process is the standard for stainless steel, aluminium and thin-wall parts from 0.5 mm up.
For aluminium and its alloys we weld on alternating current (AC), which breaks up the oxide layer; for stainless and carbon steel on direct current (DC), with filler metal matched to the base material group (AISI 304/316L, AlMg alloys). On multi-pass seams we monitor interpass temperature, and on pipe joints requiring a sound, oxide-free root we protect it with back purging.
We weld stainless railings and handrails, kitchen and HoReCa equipment, tanks, pipework, marine parts and aluminium structures. Visible seams can be mechanically ground and mirror-polished, and on food-grade equipment we passivate the weld to restore full corrosion resistance.

Frequently asked questions about tig (argon)
When the seam is visible, the material is stainless steel, aluminium or thin sheet, or a sound root is required – for example on pipes and vessels. TIG gives the most precise heat control and the cleanest seam, albeit at a lower speed.
